The negative space at its center draws the viewer inward, suggesting passage, curiosity, and discovery. Keyhole reflects my fascination with the balance between strength and openness — much like the sea-carved arches of Pfeiffer Beach that inspired it. Using traditional knotting and contemporary sculptural techniques, I allow the fibers to take form intuitively, guided by tension, gravity, and light.
