1994-1997 Uzbekistan Soʻm Banknote Set 100 & 200 Soʻm

Set includes: 1x 100 soʻm + 1x 200 soʻm Uzbekistan 100 Soʻm 1994 Front: Shows the state emblem of Uzbekistan, national ornament patterns and two peacocks. Text is in Cyrillic Uzbek and reads “Ўзбекистон Республикаси Марказий Банки” Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Backfront: Shows the People’s Friendship Palace in Tashkent, a large Soviet-era public building later tied to Uzbek independence era imagery. Also has the usual warning text against counterfeiting. Uzbekistan 200 Soʻm 1997 Front: Shows the state emblem of Uzbekistan with colourful national ornament work. This is early independent Uzbekistan money, still using Cyrillic Uzbek text and a very post-Soviet state-bank layout. Backfront: Shows a tiger mosaic detail from the Sher-Dor Madrasah at Registan Square in Samarkand one of the classic Uzbek architectural symbols. This is the nice side for photos, very Islamic/Timurid architecture energy. Both have nice watermarks if held up in light and UV protection. These are original Uzbekistan Banknotes. Prapor's honest unbiased opinion, these are one of the most beautiful banknotes I've ever seen.
