Antique JS & C “Chasse” bi-chromatic blue/sepia plate

Unlike standard monochrome transferware, the Chasse pattern is famous for its bi-chromatic (two-tone) presentation. Most commonly, you will see the animal and hunting motifs printed in a rich sepia/brown or charcoal tone, while the surrounding foliage, branches, and floral sprigs are printed in a contrasting indigo or soft blue.
