Antique German 26” Wax Over Papier Mache Doll

Very special wax over papier-mâché doll marked on the back of the shoulder plate. Unfortunately, we do not know the origin of the doll, but assume she was produced in Germany. She is nicely preserved considering her age, though she does show some wear, including repair to the face. All signs of wear are shown in the photos. The wig of the doll is possibly original. The body shows typical wear and is filled with horsehair. There are small holes and other wear to the body parts, including the feet. The doll is coming dressed as shown. She is missing pantaloons.
