DAR LAYAN - Attawheed

In celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we present the Unity Collection, whose content reveals a broad history of diverse civilizations that have endured through the ages. Built upon a sound foundation and lofty stature, this heritage carries profound meanings in human life; the language of the work itself reflects concepts rooted in the Arabian Peninsula. Work on the Unity Collection began in 1402 AH / 1982 AD, and it was envisioned to reach completion shortly after the death of its creator, the American artist Gerhardt Liebmann, who loved, believed in, and was convinced of the greatness of this land. Subsequently, the Brazilian photographer Humberto da Silveira used his black-and-white lens to reveal the reality of the places the late artist had depicted on canvas. Language: English
