Cisco UCS M.2 Hardware RAID Controller Module by Cisco, M.2 form factor, supports SATA III 6 Gb/s interfaces for M.2 solid state drives. Designed for internal server use, it provides hardware RAID capability for boot or local storage devices within compatible UCS platforms. The module supports multiple M.2 drives through an onboard controller, enabling RAID 1 and JBOD configurations depending on system support. It is powered through the system board and mounts directly onto a dedicated connector in select Cisco UCS servers. Common uses include OS boot volumes and redundant local data storage.
