Tasting Note A lovely, mature Moulis with blackcurrant fruit and a long, elegant finish. Producer Chateau Mauvesin is one of the leading properties in the Moulis and traces its roots back to 1457. In 2011 it was purchased by Lillian Barton Sartorius to join the existing family Chateau of Leoville and Langoa Barton. Mauvesin Barton has 55 hectares under vine, comprising 54% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 35 years. Country: France | Region: Moulis en Medoc, Bordeaux | Alcohol: 13% | Grapes: Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc |
