1954 Epiphone Century Archtop - Blonde (Pre-owned)
1954 Epiphone Century Archtop - Blonde (Pre-owned) Rare blonde-finish 1954 Epiphone Century archtop with its original New York pickup. These all-maple archtops have a dry, woody acoustic voice and a clear, punchy amplified sound that works equally well for jazz and blues. The blonde finish is far less common than the standard sunburst and really shows off the figuring in the maple. Condition is very good overall. The guitar shows honest play wear throughout, including light scratches, dings and finish wear consistent with a 70-year-old instrument. The most noticeable cosmetic issue is a scratch/gouge on the bass-side rim, shown in the photos. Aside from that, it's a clean, well-preserved example that has clearly been played and enjoyed rather than abused. A great playing vintage Epiphone with plenty of character. Comes with non-original hardshell case.
