Inspired by hand-cut Japanese scarf joints (daimochi tsugi), this type of wooden joinery is commonly used in traditional construction due to its simplicity and strength under tension. We styled this pendant to be reminiscent of the Taoist yin-yang, a symbol of balance and harmony.
