Fourrier’s Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru ‘Cherbaudes’ 2024 comes from one of Gevrey’s most enviable addresses, bordered on three sides by Grand Cru vineyards including Chapelle-Chambertin, Clos de Bèze and Mazis-Chambertin. From vines planted in 1940, this is Cherbaudes in its most graceful, seductive form: fine, silky, beautifully perfumed and full of pomegranate, redcurrant, cool red fruit, liquorice and earth. There is density here, but not force. It glides rather than pushes.
