Designed by John Hutton for Donghia in the mid-1990s, the "Block Island" chair is a masterpiece of organic modernism. This rare set features a robust hardwood frame entirely wrapped in hand-finished cane rush, showcasing a checkered basket-weave pattern. Offered ‘as is’ condition, we have not restored. The structural integrity is sound but cane has patches of stain or discoloration. See photos. The original cushions and several cushion snaps are missing.
