His images, rich with expression, emotion, and body language, tell authentic stories about people and humanity, and have been featured in numerous magazines and advertising campaigns worldwide. Ken has received numerous awards and is a previous Hasselblad Master, one of the most prestigious photography awards. Passionate about individuals and their unique histories, he explores the fragile balance between people and their environment, between tradition and modernity. Ken’s photography seamlessly weaves cultural and political content, blending documentary and cinematic portraiture. His application of lighting, combining artificial with natural, takes the images into a surreal space, creating dreamlike visions of everyday people. WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? This workshop is designed for both amateur and professional photographers, as well as anyone passionate about photography who wishes to enhance their ability to create stunning images. Participants should have a basic understanding of their cameras and equipment, including basic post-production knowledge.The main focus of the workshop will be portraiture and working with light in both studio and on location. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE Ken will help you discover your unique photographic vision by sharing his extensive experience. Whether you're a beginner, amateur, or professional, he will guide you in defining your style, lightning techniques and enhancing your creative process. Learn how to sculpt your unique visual aesthetic and craft a distinct, captivating style all your own. This workshop adopts a relaxed, hands-on style, focusing on mastering and understanding light's role in photography. It blends technical skill with a poetic appreciation of lighting, offering extensive practical experience and personalized feedback. Participants will engage in shooting exercises across various studio and locations, experimenting with different lighting techniques and sources, including natural light, flash, and continuous light. Additionally, group discussions will provide a platform for sharing and giving feedback. FOCUS OF THE WORKSHOP Mastering Light Experimenting with different lighting techniques and sources and learn how this will effect your image and help finding your personal voice. Mastering Portraiture Delves into the art of portraiture, Ken will be sharing his personal approach and offering practical tips for connecting with subjects in new environments. Crafting Your Vision Through Editing and Post Production Discover the art of digital processing with Ken as your guide. Learn essential techniques for maximizing the potential of your digital files and refining your unique photographic style using editing software. SO WHY SWEDEN? This workshop takes place in an ideal setting - my house by the lake surrounded by the stunning Swedish countryside, just two hours from Copenhagen Airport. The house accommodates up to 20 people, offering ample space. Additionally, there is a Yoga Shala that doubles as a photo studio, as well as a sauna and beautiful natural surroundings for relaxation between sessions.
