"Out of the Blue" Original Oil Painting of Landing Mallard Ducks

I went on a duck hunt in Southern Missouri one season during a brutal cold snap, and it was awesome. I have little experience duck hunting and even less calling them in, but thankfully the guys I was with did. I'll never forget a couple mallards that committed from way up high and seemed to drop straight down out into our setup, their bright green heads in stark contrast against the cold, blue sky. After returning, I painted this scene for the Southeastern Wildlife Expo and it sold at the show.
