Paradise Milk Vase 2026
Part of the ongoing Paradise (is female?) series, this hand-crafted papier-mâché vase takes the shape of a familiar milk carton covered in a playful pattern of rounded forms. The circular motifs can be read as fruits, seeds, cells, breasts, planets, or simply abstract shapes. Like much of my work, the piece leaves room for interpretation and invites viewers to project their own ideas of abundance, nature, and belonging. Rather than presenting paradise as a distant place, the work suggests that it may already exist in the small, interconnected details of everyday life. The humble milk carton becomes a vessel for imagining alternative ways of relating to each other and to the natural world. The vase can hold water and fresh flowers if used carefully, but is primarily intended as a unique sculptural artwork.
