Asab Magazine
Asab is a new monolingual Anishinaabemowin magazine started by folks from the newly launched Ojiibikan organization with support from the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Simon Fraser University, New Leonard Media, Heartberry, and with related language resources hosted by the Midwest Indigenous Immersion Network. These limited-run mags are only available in hardcopy. Issue 1 focuses on skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding with original narrative and visual content from across Anishinaabewaki. Each subsequent issue will focus on a different activity or topic not typically associated with Anishinaabe culture. Collectable. Giftable. Teachable. Readable. Not edible (maybe next issue). Get a copy before they’re gone! For bulk orders, contact Heartberry at info@heartberry.com
