You will need to purchase this part if the kid's bike that you want to use with a FollowMe Tandem has a quick release front wheel, as the FollowMe kit assumes the child's bike has a solid nutted front wheel, which is not always the case these days. Simply remove the quick release skewer from your child's front wheel and install this part in its place.
