Quad FM2 Valve Tuner
6084 Quad FM2 Valve FM Stereo Tuner — Mint Condition | Original Box | Stereo Decoder Fitted | Excellent Collector’s Piece | Tested & Working The Quad FM2 is a valve-based FM tuner manufactured by the Acoustical Manufacturing Company in Huntingdon, England, and forms part of the classic Quad valve separates range alongside the 22 preamplifier and II power amplifier. Essentially the original Quad FM tuner circuit rehoused with its own built-in power supply and an integrated stereo multiplex decoder, the FM2 was produced between 1968 and 1971, with around 7,500 units believed to have been built — it has since become a genuinely sought-after piece among collectors of vintage Quad equipment. This example, serial number 4049, is presented in mint condition complete with its original box, and has been inspected and tested by Andrew in our workshop. Condition: Mint — The unit presents in exceptional condition for its age, both internally and externally, complete with its original box. This is a genuinely excellent example for the collector. Please refer to our photographs for a full assessment of condition.
