Fans of My Sleeping Karma and Black Sky Giant will find familiar territory here, especially within the world of instrumental rock, space rock, and desert-inspired psychedelia. “Tales of the Turquoise Turtle” is the fifth Liquify album and marks the first time the project has incorporated vocals, with five tracks featuring vocals alongside the instrumental compositions. Written, performed, and produced entirely by Tanner Ratcliffe, the album was created with a focus on a mellow atmosphere, slower pacing, and a more peaceful approach compared to Liquify’s heavier releases.
