Gibco™ DMEM, high glucose

Gibco™ DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of a variety of mammalian cells. This formulation contains a high concentration of glucose (4.5 g/L), making it suitable for cells with high metabolic demands. This specific formulation (Cat. No. 11965092) is modified with L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate, and Phenol Red. The sodium bicarbonate buffer system requires a 5–10% CO₂ environment to maintain physiological pH. The addition of sodium pyruvate serves as an alternative carbon source for cells. Produced in cGMP-compliant facilities, Gibco™ DMEM contains no proteins, lipids, or growth factors, making it an ideal foundation for custom supplementations.
