Trail of Painted Ponies ~ Cow Pony

This literal take on a cow pony is by artist Lori Musil in 2005. She features a herd of Hereford cattle sculpted in bas relief, each with carefully painted coats and individual face markings. This release is based on the life-sized horse statue painted by the same artist which now resides at the Booth Western Art Museum. This one is Factory Mint with the gorgeous detailing only seen in these early releases. We noted a hint of musty smell on the box from being stored all these years, but none on the horse herself.
