CD34 Flow Cytometry **

CD34 marker is an important cell surface protein marker, primarily used to identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and endothelial progenitor cells. It enables their isolation for bone marrow transplantation and supports the diagnosis of various diseases. CD34 plays a role in cell adhesion and migration of stem cells and is also expressed on multiple cell types outside the hematopoietic system, including certain cancer cells. CD34 testing can be used to: – Evaluate and harvest stem cells: Identify and quantify the number of stem cells required for stem cell transplantation (bone marrow transplantation). – Monitor bone marrow disorders: Assist in the diagnosis and follow-up of bone marrow diseases such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). – Tumor diagnosis: Help identify tumors of stem cell or endothelial origin.
