ETHIOPIA FLORAL BOMB, SWEET LEMON, MANDARIN, PEACH PRODUCER : FAYSEL ABDOSH VARIETAL : MIXED HEIRLOOM PROCESS : WASHED REGION : HAMBELLA WOMENA, GUJI ALTITUDE : 2100 to 2350 MASL This is the washed version of a coffee we already know well, from the same place as our Hambella Honey. It comes from a station Faysel Abdosh has recently built in Hambella Womena, Guji, up at Deri between 2100 and 2350 metres. The station is new, but the quality coming off it has been some of the best we have cupped from him. Same heirloom trees and the same careful picking as the honey. The difference is the processing. Without the mucilage, the washed lot is cleaner and more aromatic, with less of the sticky sweetness and more lift. In the cup it is floral and citrus forward, with sweet lemon, mandarin, and peach. If you like our honey lot, this is the same origin shown a different way.
