Le triau

Le Triau is an Extra Brut Champagne made from the three classic Champagne grapes: Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its name comes from a local Champagne dialect and refers to land where nature is allowed to recover, a fitting idea for a wine focused on soil life and parcel character. The wine is kept fresh by avoiding malolactic fermentation, while aging on fine lees gives it more body and a smoother feel. Part of the blend is matured in oak, bringing a gentle touch of vanilla without hiding the fruit. In the glass, expect pale gold colour, lively bubbles, floral and citrus notes, then flavours of reinette apple and mirabelle plum. The low dosage keeps the finish clean, precise and lightly savoury, making it a good choice for an aperitif or simple seafood dishes.
