Excellent, strong-bottomed tone with plenty of pure power. Housing the element is a stock Shure 520 shell, with custom chrome grill, volume control, and 5/8″ screw-on connector. This microphone has been built with both custom new, and vintage parts. The color is genuine Shure anodized green. These are the same shells as mid-90s Shure 520D microphones. The custom-machined steel grill has been triple show-chromed, and is in perfect, new cosmetic condition. Inside is a fresh new custom gasket from Jeffrey Spoor. The paint is original, and perfect too. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a blues harp mic in this condition with an awesome controlled-reluctance element inside.
