Wayuu Bag

Wayuu bags (mochilas) are handwoven masterpieces made by the Wayuu people, an indigenous community living in the harsh, semi-arid La Guajira desert spanning northern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. Each bag takes up to 25 days for a single artisan to crochet and represents centuries of ancestral tradition, mythology, and feminine empowerment!
