FINE LARGE EASTERN EUROPEAN CROSS, 17TH CENTURY

Ukrainian or Russian. Gilt bronze, over 2 1/8” (2.08”) in height. Raised edge beams with a scalloped halo and radials at the junction. Central relief vacant cross with the charges and footrest delineated. Reverse with geometric and repeated cross motif. Crisp with surface very lightly textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver mounted polished lather neck cord for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity. Rare and large early example.
