Anyone is welcome to attend, but these classes are geared toward folks with more than a passing interest in the subject. Welcome to our newest 3-part wine series, featuring the wines of Spain & Portugal! Each class will highlight a new region of the Iberian Peninsula, and we'll explore both the classics and the little-known grapes and traditions. Join us for one part or all three--these are meant to be stand-alone classes as well as part of a larger story! Last spring, our intrepid wine enthusiast and globetrotter Kaleigh Swift, spent three months working for Vieira de Sousa, a small wine producer in Portugal's iconic Duoro Valley. For centuries, Portugal, and the Duoro Valley in particular, has produced some of the world's finest wines. They've also been leading a quiet revolution in European winemaking by highlighting their remarkable indigenous grape varietals to create wines of incredible quality at unprecedented value. In this class, Kaleigh will regale you with stories of her time in Portugal while you sip your way through a selection of exceptional wines, accompanied by an individual cheese plate.
