Because we build each one to order, it arrives at the exact length and depth your wall calls for rather than the nearest size a store happened to stock: as slim as 1.25 inches for a clean ledge, up to a bold 7 inches with real presence, cut to your measurement down to the eighth of an inch. It ships Unfinished, sanded and ready for you to prime and paint in whatever color the room calls for. Underneath, it is solid hardwood construction, and what carries it is a hidden Studlock steel bracket, included with every shelf and matched to the size you order, so you never have to guess which bracket fits. Fastened properly into the studs, the bracket holds up to fifty pounds per stud, ready for books, décor, and everyday display, with nothing showing underneath.
