Full Day Pottery Sculpture Workshop - Construct & Glaze Join Vicky from Vicky Potting, an experienced hand-building ceramics tutor based in Derbyshire Create your very own Fantastic Mr. Fox in this fun and engaging pottery workshop! A fantastic day of clay, where we’ll guide you step-by-step through simple construction techniques to bring this charming character to life. Working with terracotta clay, we'll model a simplified, easy-to-create fox, making this workshop perfect for beginners and more experienced potters alike. Once our foxes are formed, we'll delve into the exciting world of decorating. We'll use underglazes and the sgraffito technique – scraping through the underglaze to reveal the clay beneath – to create fur texture and whiskers. You'll even have the option to mix your own custom fox colour! This workshop offers a fun and absorbing day, whether you come with friends or are looking to make new ones. Come and create a Fantastic Mr. Fox of your very own! Please note: Your pottery will need time to dry before being professionally fired and glazed. On the day, you'll be able to choose from a beautiful selection of rich, seasonal glazes to bring your pumpkin to life. Your finished piece will be ready to collect from the studio approximately 3–4 weeks later, just in time to add a little handmade autumn magic to your home.
