The Bauer Supreme Fuse Goalie Stick is made for goaltenders who move the puck like a third defender. Designed to help you push the pace of the game, this elite stick gives you the feel you need to fuel breakouts and keep the momentum. Its lightweight carbon fiber in the paddle and blade gives this stick a balanced feel without compromising strength. Shaft Construction The shaft is constructed primarily of tapered unidirectional carbon fibre weave. UD carbon is a common and reliable weave option for goalie and player hockey sticks alike, as it allows the stick to be tough while also keeping it very lightweight. Paddle Construction Bauer continues to stick to TeXtreme weave construction coupled with Advanced Carbon Layering technology (ACL) in their highest-end gear. ACL tech has been used consistently in blade and paddle builds from Bauer due to its use of thinner carbon layers and optimized carbon fiber materials. TeXtreme is about 20% more durable compared to other carbon fibre materials, and it is also incredibly lightweight. The Fuse goalie stick is also built with a tapered spine which helps overall weight and lowers the stick’s kick point. This design improves the stick’s balance, provides a more responsive feel, and allows you to load and release the puck much faster when playing it around the boards. Blade Construction/Stiffness The paddle’s new Ergobridge technology now extends across the blade to further enhance torsion control at the blade as well. For greater durability in the blade against impact force, Bauer implemented an Expancel Bridge core. Expancel is designed to enlarge and contract depending on the situation in order to reach that desired durability. Grip The Fuse goalie stick is equipped with Bauer’s ErgoGrip. This grip is designed to improve paddle hold, reduce grip fatigue, and increase control when poke-checking or moving the puck.
