Reine Claude Greengage Plums 450–500g

Reine Claude greengage plums are prized for their exceptional sweetness, rich flavour and juicy flesh. Grown by a specialist stone-fruit producer near Montauban in southwest France, the fruit is allowed to ripen naturally on the tree before harvesting. The season begins with Reine Claude Dorée, known for its delicate sweetness, followed by Reine Claude de Bavay, a firmer variety with a more pronounced flavour. The variety supplied may therefore change as the season progresses. Natural surface markings and variations in colour become more noticeable as the plums mature. These are characteristic of ripe fruit and are not quality defects. Enjoy them fresh, serve with yoghurt or cheese, or use them in tarts, compotes and preserves
