Bold Roboto XL Foil Drive Compatible Board - 5’11”
This is the new Roboto XL — our high-volume (87L) board with a wide and stable platform, designed for beginners, foil schools, and heavier riders. Compatible with both Foil Drive Max and Foil Drive Fusion systems, it offers a lighter and more versatile alternative to a traditional eFoil. Thanks to the trench design, the connection to the foil feels much more direct, helping beginners understand balance and board control faster. At only 5.5 kilos, the board feels stable, balanced, and easy to handle. Built with a water non-absorbing hybrid XPS / EPS core, PVC sandwich construction, and our premium carbon layup, the Roboto XL stays lightweight, durable, and water-resistant – making foiling easier, more efficient, and more fun. The mast area is thinned and recessed for a more direct foil connection and responsiveness, while the board’s overall stiffness ensures instant feedback under your feet. Built with precision and premium materials, the Roboto is the perfect match for the Foil Drive system. 5'11" × 29.5” × 3.9” – 87l – 5.5kg Quick Battery Swap and High-Performance Bottom Shape Unlike many boards on the market, we wanted to retain a recessed trench shape thats streamlined around the Foil Drive box while still allowing for quick battery changes or mast adjustment. We solved this challenge – there’s no need to fully remove the Foil Drive to replace the battery! Simply loosen the bolts and slide the Foil Drive box along the 420mm tracks toward the tail of the board. The custom cutout shape provides easy access for smooth and efficient battery swaps. Flawless Signal A common issue with carbon boards is signal interference. Thanks to specific board construction, the controller signal remains flawless—no need for foam inserts in the tracks. This allows for quick and easy repositioning of the Foil Drive and mast, whether you’re swapping the battery or fine-tuning your mast position. Construction Crafted with precision and using top-quality materials, our boards are the perfect match for the Foil Drive Max system. Water-resistant hybrid XPS / EPS foam core Roseltech epoxy resin from France Premium carbon fiber and fiberglass from Germany Liotech 420mm tracks Why a Recessed Bottom Matters Because on the trench board the Foil Drive unit is mounted closer to the feet of the rider and the Foil Drive unit sits flush with the bottom of the board., a recessed foil board creates a streamlined connection between the board and the foil. This design enhances performance in several key ways: Minimized drag and improved water flow – creates a smoother and more efficient ride. Efficient Power Use – With better foil alignment, the motor operates more effectively, reducing power loss and maximising time on the water. Lower chance of prop cavitation – The secure propeller placement minimizes turbulence and performance issues. Enhanced Lift & Reduced Drag – Placing the foil closer to the water surface improves lift while minimising drag, allowing for smoother, more efficient riding and extended battery life. Improved Stability & Control – By lowering the board’s centre of gravity relatively to foil, the recessed design enhances stability, making it easier to balance, carve, and perform manoeuvres. If you’re looking to enhance your foiling experience, a trench foil board is a smart investment. It complements the power of the Foil Drive system, delivering a smoother, more controlled, and energy-efficient ride.
