Created to celebrate the second year of Glenfiddich's partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team, this 16-year-old expression takes inspiration from the precision and instinct behind exceptional performance. Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman draws a parallel with legendary Formula One designer Adrian Newey: in both whisky making and racing, it is often the smallest, unseen details that make the greatest difference. For the 2026 release, Glenfiddich has created a particularly complex maturation. Five different cask types play their part: first-fill bourbon barrels, Port pipes, Oloroso sherry casks, wine casks and Fino sherry butts. Together they give Glenfiddich's famously fruit-forward Speyside character additional richness, depth and structure. The nose opens with rich stewed fruits and delicate floral notes, followed by marzipan, polished leather and ripe orchard fruit. On the palate, the whisky is wonderfully silky and mellow, with creamy buttery toffee and caramelised cane sugar balanced by a touch of dry oak tannin. The finish is long, elegant and pleasantly sweet, with lingering oak.
