(For Lakewood businesses and residents) Our neighborhood level, named for the grass carried from West Africa to the Carolina coast and coiled into baskets there for three hundred years. Lakewood businesses and residents receive an engraved paver stone in the garden path at this level, plus a listing on the Proud Roots page, inclusion in our supporter post, and a mention to our email community: because this is your block! Bright Black is a commercial enterprise, so contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable gifts. Businesses can often treat sponsorship as a marketing or community expense.
