FREE Book Week 2026 – Symphony of Stories Activity Page

Book Week is always one of the most exciting weeks on the school calendar, but by the time the fancy dress parade is over, my students (and myself) are usually ready for a quieter activity! Each year I create a brand-new Book Week activity page that gives my class the chance to relax, refocus and continue celebrating the joy of reading. I enlarge the page to A3, put on some calming music and watch my students quietly immerse themselves in the activities. It has become one of our favourite Book Week traditions! Over the past few years, I’ve also used these pages as a wonderful opportunity for my class to work alongside our ‘big buddies’ (a Year 5 class), with students completing the activities together. This resource has now been updated following requests from teachers who wanted an option for different year levels. Instead of a single activity page, this edition now includes two differentiated pages—one designed for younger students with simpler activities, and one created for older students with more challenging tasks. This makes it perfect for a wider range of classrooms, buddy classes and mixed-age groups. With a fun collection of activities inspired by this year’s Book Week theme, this resource is the perfect way to help students unwind while still celebrating the magic of books and reading.
