Chinese Brush Painting: Flowers with Pauline Bull

During this three-hour session, Pauline will introduce you to the traditional Chinese Brush Painting technique using specially shaped brushes and semi-absorbent paper. You’ll learn how simple, confident brush strokes can be used to create beautiful floral forms quickly and expressively, building up flowers, leaves and stems while exploring the distinctive qualities of the materials. This is a welcoming workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some painting experience. No previous knowledge of Chinese Brush Painting is needed. Your finished papers can also be taken further afterwards, perhaps by incorporating them into mixed media or stitched textile work.
