It combines key barefoot principles with a more forgiving, shock-absorbing sole structure. The shoe is built on a zero-drop, anatomically shaped last that follows the natural shape of the foot and offers generous space for the toes. This promotes balanced posture and a natural walking motion. Unlike minimalist barefoot shoes, Asento features a lightweight Phylon midsole that absorbs shock and improves comfort on longer walks and varied terrain. A durable rubber outsole adds grip for outdoor use. A waterproof DrymaxX® membrane in sock construction keeps feet dry in wet conditions. If the shoes get wet, or after wash, dry them at room temperature or in a low temperature dryer cabinet, max. 40° degrees. Never dry on a radiator or in a hot sauna. Good air conditioning is desirable. Paper can be used inside the shoe, to absorb moisture. Store in a dry place at room temperature. Sofsthell and other textile shoes can be washed by hand in lukewarm water with mild soap. Please note that due to the multi-layer structure of DrymaxX shoes, they take a long time to dry and therefore washing should be avoided. Protect clean unused shoes with a suitable protective spray. First try in an inconspicuous spot to make sure that the material does not react to the spray. Follow instructions of the spray. After use, brush/ wipe sand, mud and dust off the shoes, also from the inside. As the shoe dries, the dirt hardens and may break the surface material.
