Universal OBD2 Anti-Theft Lock Cap – Keyless Security Cover
Universal OBD2 Anti-Theft Lock Cap – Keyless Security Cover The OBD2 anti-theft lock cap is designed to block unauthorised access to your vehicle’s diagnostic port. Engineered for Australian drivers, 4WD owners, trades, and fleet operators looking to reduce the risk of key cloning, ECU tampering, and OBD-based electronic theft. Australia Compatibility Statement: This product is designed for vehicles fitted with a standard OBD2 diagnostic port. OBD2 ports are commonly found in modern petrol and diesel vehicles across Australia. We recommend checking your vehicle’s OBD2 port position and surrounding clearance before purchase. Non-Universal Application: While designed to suit a wide range of standard OBD2 ports, this product may not fit every vehicle due to dashboard shape, port depth, surrounding trim, or limited installation space. Great for: Most Vehicles • SUVs • Utes • 4WDs • Vans • Fleet Vehicles Why You Need It Modern vehicle theft has gone digital. High-tech car thieves no longer need your keys to target your car — in many cases, they attempt to access the vehicle’s OBD2 diagnostic port to clone keys, reprogram fobs, or interfere with the engine control system. The Universal OBD2 Anti-Theft Lock Cap – Keyless Security Cover adds a strong physical barrier over your vehicle’s OBD2 port, helping stop unauthorised access before it begins. Built from aluminium and stainless steel, this keyless lock cap is designed to enclose the diagnostic port and make fast plug-in attacks far more difficult. Instead of relying on a traditional key cylinder, this model uses tamper-resistant security screws and concealed cover stickers to create a discreet, secure, fit-and-forget layer of protection. Once installed, it helps block one of the most common physical access points used in digital vehicle theft. It is a simple, low-profile security upgrade for everyday drivers, commercial vehicles, 4WDs, work utes, and fleet operators who want extra protection without adding another key to carry. Installation Guide Step 1: Select the Right Bracket Begin by selecting the correct mounting bracket for your vehicle. Start with Bracket A, which is designed to fit the majority of standard vehicle OBD2 ports. If Bracket A does not provide a secure fit, use Bracket G instead. Step 2: Position the Bracket Place the selected bracket directly over your OBD2 port. Use the included double-sided alignment tape to temporarily hold the bracket in place and help ensure the cover sits correctly before final tightening. Step 3: Secure the Lock Cap & Fasteners Fit the solid metal lock cap over the bracket. Secure it using 4 long screws in total, using 2 pieces of each screw type for improved tamper resistance. Note: Your kit includes 8 long screws and 2 short backup screws. Always use the long screws first. The short screws are provided as alternative backup screws only. Step 4: Apply the Concealing Stickers For a clean and discreet finish, apply the included black blanking stickers over the screw heads. This step is optional, but recommended to help hide the fasteners from view.
