The Family Silver / Electric Blend SDE exclusive blu-ray audio

SDE Records is proud to present a blu-ray audio of THE FAMILY SILVER'S 2015 album Electric Blend. THE FAMILY SILVER are a power trio comprising singer and guitarist Matt Deighton (Mother Earth, Paul Weller, Oasis), drummer Steve White (Paul Weller, ) and bass player Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene). Electric Blend is their only album to date (it received a limited release via PledgeMusic in 2015) although a 500-run 'Blaze of Light' EP of six new songs was sold on CD at a gigs in 2017. The blu-ray features new Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes by Richard Whittaker of both the 11-track album, the 6-track EP and bonus song 'Privilege'. With a runtime of almost 30 mins, this previously unseen footage shows the band in rehearsals, behind the scenes conversations and then the band playing live in front of the audience at West London's Under The Bridge venue. The Electric Blend (Region-free) blu-ray audio is #70 in the ongoing SDE Surround Series and will be packaged similarly to previous editions (clear amaray case) and ships with a free, collectible SDE Surround Series slipcase. It comes with a 16-page booklet which includes a track-by-track guide to the album from all three band members via new interviews by Sean Hannam. Dolby Atmos Mixes on blu-ray offer much higher quality than their streaming counterparts. They are not compressed as on streaming platforms. Encoded in Dolby TrueHD Atmos it has a bit rate 10 times higher (up to 8000 kbits/s) than streaming’s Dolby Digital Plus (768 kbits/s). Electric Blend will be released on 16 October 2026 via SDE Records. It is limited to 1,000 units worldwide and is an SDE exclusive available only from the SDE shop.
