The rim mounts, the hub does the inputs One hub, many rims The RS Formula Wheel is a rim, the grips and face plate. It mounts onto the Logitech G RS Wheel Hub, which carries the buttons, thumb encoders, magnetic paddle shifters and the LED rev lights. That means you keep one consistent control layout no matter which rim is fitted, and your platform (PlayStation, Xbox or PC) is set by the base and hub you own, not by the rim. To fit the Formula wheel to a non-RS setup, use the RS QR Adapter. Mounts on the RS Wheel Hub (PlayStation/PC or Xbox/PC). The RS Formula Wheel is a rim (an attachment), so it needs the Logitech G RS Wheel Hub and a compatible wheelbase. The hub provides the buttons, paddles and LED, and the base provides the force feedback. If you already run the RS Wheel Hub, the Formula wheel simply clicks on via the RS quick release. Does the RS Formula Wheel come with buttons and paddle shifters?No. The buttons, thumb encoders, magnetic paddle shifters and the rev LED strip are all part of the RS Wheel Hub. The Formula wheel is the grips and aluminium face plate that mount onto that hub, which is why every RS rim shares the same control layout. To fit it to a third-party wheelbase, use the RS QR Adapter. Does it work on PlayStation, Xbox and PC?The rim itself is platform-agnostic. Your platform is decided by the base and hub you own. The PlayStation licence lives in the RS50 base, the Xbox licence lives in the Xbox/PC RS Wheel Hub, and every RS base and hub runs on PC. So the same Formula wheel can be on a PlayStation, Xbox or PC setup depending on the base and hub underneath it. Can I swap between the Formula, Round and Track wheels?Yes. All Logitech RS rims use the same RS quick release, so you can hot-swap the Formula wheel with the RS Round Wheel, the RS Track Wheel and other RS-format rims in seconds, without tools. The wheel does not change game support, the base and hub do. Does it come with a wheelbase or pedals?No, it is sold as the wheel rim only. You will need the RS Wheel Hub and a compatible wheelbase, and most people add the RS Pedals. If you want a complete starting point, look at the RS50 System or the RS50 Track Bundle. How heavy is it and does the weight matter?It weighs about 500 g. A lighter rim keeps the overall wheel assembly manageable and responsive, and the aluminium plus glass-filled nylon construction means the low weight does not cost you rigidity. Can I use it with a G29, G920 or G923 wheel?The RS Formula Wheel is designed for the RS quick-release system on the RS Wheel Hub. It is not a direct fit for the older G29, G920 or G923 wheels, which use a fixed rim. Those wheels connect to the RS ecosystem through the Logitech G Racing Adapter for pedals and shifter, but the rim itself needs the RS Wheel Hub.
