Cesanese Riserva 2022

Damiano Ciolli is widely credited with leading the modern quality revival of Cesanese, the main native red grape of Lazio. Located in Olevano Romano, about 45km southeast of Rome, Damiano farms naturally with biodynamic princples and uses minimal sulphur. Cesanese Riserva comes from a one hectare parcel of 70+ year old vines, aged in large old casks with extended bottle age beofre release. Beautifully floral with notes of dried roses and cherry fruit, the palate is rich and fruity with silky tannins and great balance.
