Vintage Japanese Bizen Ware Pourer & Cup Set - Stoneware

A vintage Japanese Bizen ware tokkuri and cup, sold as a set. The tokkuri is a pourer for sake. Both pieces are unglazed stoneware with natural ash markings from the kiln, ranging from deep brown to warm orange across the surface. The tokkuri has a rounded body and a short, narrow neck, and the cup has a plain, slightly tapered form. The set comes in its own wooden box, which carries a brush-written inscription and seal. The set comes with a period leaflet identifying the maker as Fujiwara Kei, a Bizen potter designated a Living National Treasure in 1970.
