The S-37+ adds rotation alignment, supports larger cladding diameters, and enables active fiber splicing, making it suitable for certain MAX laser repair applications. Due to its higher cost and the fact that many customers do not repair active fiber coils or modules directly, the S-37+ is generally recommended only when rotation alignment or active fiber splicing is required.
