Smoky Shores 14YO blended malt, 70cl @ 46%

Smoky Shores returns, now with 14 years of maturation bringing new depth to our coastal, peated blended malt. At its heart are two single malts with very different relationships to peat. One is drawn from a distillery with a long-established reputation for peated malt. The other is a less familiar peated expression, drawn from a distillery better known for its unpeated house style. Selected and married by Isabella Wemyss, the two come together in a whisky rich with coastal character: sea salt, deep peat smoke and bright citrus, followed by white pepper and warming clove. Fourteen years in cask has brought greater depth and maturity while retaining the salty, smoky character that made the original Smoky Shores a sell-out. Tasting notes Nose: Coastal brine and rich peaty smoke, with unmistakable salt air. Palate: Medicinal peat and sea salt, lifted by orange peel.
