Vintage Anchor + Rope 18K Diamond Necklace

As a Rhode Islander, an 18k gold anchor charm was never going to make it past me. This one is stamped 750, which was common among Italian makers of the mid-century, and beyond that its story is its own. The twisted rope wrapping the shaft is genuinely beautiful, the kind of sculptural detail that just doesn't show up in mass production. I added a responsibly sourced white diamond in a hand engraved star setting at the center. Then I strung it on a rolo chain I modified with three 14k gold links and oxidized black for contrast. The result is something that feels both vintage and entirely current. This piece is part of the Reborn Vintage Collection. I personally find and curate each vintage piece, restore it when needed, and always add something of my own to create something truly one of a kind that will never be reproduced. A note on care: Sterling silver can tarnish when exposed to harsh chemicals, so remove before swimming. Vintage pieces deserve a little extra consideration.
