Sandcast White Gold & Sapphire Earrings - Off the Bench Peg

Made by Jamila, these earrings are cast from recycled 9ct white gold in Nanjizel sand, with two green sapphires set in yellow gold petal-like claws. In Jamila's words: "Rather unconventionally, I began the design with the two tiny claws (surplus from a previous project), they reminded me of lotus petals which led me to playing with water-like textures with wax. I wanted the sapphires in their settings to feel swept up, dancing across the waves of the white gold. Movement is important to me, the earrings dangle from a mirror shape - much like a reflection - with the sapphires catching the light."
