Paper Flowers is a nostalgic trip down memory lane when , as a little girl I would rush to the local Drapers Shop to spend my pocket money on glittery sheets of Victorian Scraps - flowers , angels , baskets - I loved them all . I can still remember the distinct scent of the sheets - an intoxicating blend of new printed shiny paper and stunning magical images of the prettiest things . I was starstruck each time a new collection was released . I have collected these beauties all my life never daring to use them as then they would be gone forever . Hence the inspiration behind this new fabric of ours The ‘scraps ‘ can be cut out , stitched or glued to many a project , and each one is more beautiful than the next . The images of mainly roses , in baskets and urns , sprigs and bouquets , has been antiqued as scraps are usually very bright and almost gaudy ( but beautifully so ) , giving the fabric a very old world gentle cottage garden feel . The background of French Script is gorgeous as well and there really is no part of this fabric that doesn’t stand alone for any project . This fabric is sold by the meter and should you buy more than one unit, it will be cut in a continuous piece.
