Daniel Wenger Early "Lotus" Lounge Chair, 1970s

A large and very early "Lotus" lounge chair by California native, Daniel Wenger, circa early 1970s. This early example features a solid, enameled steel frame, and a thick, top-grain saddle leather sling with woven leather detailing. The sling provides "a hammock-like support and the flexible solid steel frame provides a gentle rocking motion".
