Jose Jijon - Putushio Mejorado

Jose Jijon - Mejorado Fincas del Putushio is a joint project between Jose, Pepe, and Francisco Vintimilla in Loja, Ecuador. The farm sits very high at 2222 masl contributing to the beautiful profile we see in the coffees produced there. At Putushio they exclusively grow Typica Mejorado and they only process it washed. The intention is to showcase the influence of terroir on the profile of the coffee. This lot is giving us some lovely jasmine-like florals, some sweet apple notes, and a touch of a butterscotch note.
