Victorian 14K Gold Snake Brooch with Ruby and Turquoise circa 1860

This intriguing and charming antique brooch dates from the mid 19th century circa 1860 during the Victorian era. An popular motif during the 1800s this wonderful snake is set with two red rubies for eyes and is set with five turquoise cabochons down its 14k yellow gold intricately detailed scaled back. Most likely created from a necklace clasp and converted to a brooch at a later date. A beautiful authentic collectible!
